SCHOLARSHIP
Each fall, the Engineers' Society of Saint Paul provides scholarships to students who are pursuing engineering or engineering-related degrees. The ESSP Scholarship Program is funded by membership dues and monthly meetings.
Scholarship Requirements
To Qualify:
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Are currently enrolled in an engineering or engineering-related degree program through the spring semester.
- Are registered for a minimum of 12 credits for the spring semester.
- Are sponsored by an active member of ESSP.
Meet our 2018 Scholarship Recipients
Jordyn Meskan
Jordyn is currently a senior in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering at North Dakota State University, where she is on the deans list. Jordyn is actively involved in various professional organizations which include Society of Women Engineers and holds various leadership roles within Engineers Without Boarders. Jordyn spent the summer of 2016 as an Engineering Intern at Pie Constituting and Engineering in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Paige Meskan
Paige is currently a junior in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Spanish at North Dakota State University, where she is on the deans list. Paige is actively involved in various professional organizations which include Kappa Alpha Theta - Gamma Nu and is the Vice President of Fundraising and Corporate Relations for Society of Women Engineers. Paige spent the summer of 2016 as an Engineering Intern at NV5 Sebesta in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Tyler Ramirez
Tyler is currently a sophomore at Purdue University pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering. He is a member of the Air Force ROTC and actively participates in community service programs where he volunteers in his free time. The son of two engineers, Tyler plans to continue his work in the Air Force by improving machinery and developing new technologies.
Joseph Hynes
Joseph
is currently a junior at the University of Minnesota in pursuit of a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
He is has found ways to apply his education directly as an intern at CNA
Consulting Engineers, as an officer of the American Society of Civil Engineers,
Student Chapter and as a captain of the U of MN's Concrete Canoe Club, where
concrete canoes are designed, built and raced annually. Joseph is an avid runner and marathoner and
takes notes of the many feats of civil engineering such as unique bridge
supports and intricate road systems.
